Smok Q-Box Kit Review

The Q-Box Kit is the smallest vape kit from Smok, and it is one of the tiniest that you will find on the market. It is a perfect starter kit. The mod is so compact that it will fit in your pocket or bag easily. While it is little, this kit, which comes with the Smok FTV8 Baby Tank, can produce up to 50W. This is enough to create some massive clouds.

The Q-Box has excellent functionality just like other vape kits from Smok. You can purchase this vaping setup on Ejuice Deals for only $45. It is available in several colors including purple, gold, silver, black, and multicolored.

Q-Box Mod

The Smok Q-Box Mod has a dimension of 554.8mm by 33mm by 25mm. It is made of zinc alloy and is very lightweight as a result. Even if you have small hands, this mod will fit in your grip easily. If you are used to bigger mods, it may feel a little awkward using the Q-Box at first.

The Smok Q-Box is packing a built-in 1600mAh battery and can produce a maximum wattage of 50W. The battery life of this mod is one of the issues that critics have raised. This is possibly the price to pay for its diminutive size. If you are not a chain vaper, the battery life may not be a big issue for you. The mod comes with a micro USB cable for charging it and for firmware upgrade. You will find the charging port of the mod under it. The battery gets fully charged in under two hours. There are also some ventilation holes under the device to keep the battery from overheating.

There is a 0.96-inch OLED screen on the side of the mod. The screen covers the entire body of the device. It is easy to read the data displayed on the screen. The screen has the same interface and functionality as Smok’s Alien series mod. It comes with different modes including wattage, temperature, and TCR. In wattage mode, the resistance range of the mod is 0.1 ohm to 3 ohms. However, in temperature control mode, the resistance range of the device is 0.06 ohms to 3 ohms. It supports a temperature range of 200 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. This mod has other features including a puff counter.

The fire button is located on the side of the mod on top of the up/down button for changing the settings displayed on the screen. The Q-Box does not come with the usual large firing button on the Alien series to the disappointment of many vapers. The firing button on this mod is quite small. There have also been complaints about the firing button getting stuck – especially during the early days of using it.

The Q-Box comes with a few safety features. It has a 12-second cut-off limit and short circuit protection. The mod can also recognize the resistance of your atomizer once you fix it.

TFV8 Baby Tank

Smok’s TFV8 Baby Tank is very similar to the Cloud Beast Tank. It has a capacity to hold 3ml of e-juice. There is a European version of this tank that holds only 2ml of e-liquid. The Baby Beast is pre-installed with a 0.25 ohms dual coil head. There is an extra 0.25 ohms dual coil head in the package. The tank has a removable drip tip and features the usual Smok top-fill swivel design. You will have absolutely no problems changing the coils or filling the tank of the TFV8 Baby. The best part is that it does not leak. The tank comes with two adjustable airflow slots.

Some have said the TFV8 Baby is not the best tank for the Q-Box mod. You can use different tanks on this mod. One of the ones that come highly recommended is the Smok Spirals Plus tank which is known for producing great flavor at a low wattage.
